Today, Wednesday, September 19, 2024, BPS Malang Regency held a Webinar on the Statistics Corner of BPS Malang Regency with Ma Chung University. This activity was carried out in commemoration of National Statistics Day 2024. The webinar was held through the Zoom application and live Youtube of BPS Malang Regency.
The event was opened by the Head of BPS Malang Regency Erny Fatma Setyoharini and the Rector of Ma Chung University Prof. Dr. Ir. Stefanus Yufra M. Taneo. MS., M.Sc. The event was open to the public which was attended by more than 300 participants from OPD, Academics, BPS and Media
The speakers at today's event were Dr. Kestrilia Rega Prillianti., S.Si., M.Si., Vice Chancellor I of Ma Chung University and Dr. rer.pol. Dedy Dwi Prastyo, S.Si, M.Si., Administrator of the Indonesian Statistics Higher Education Forum.
In the rapidly developing digital era, data is one of the most valuable assets in supporting development. Big data and official statistics play a strategic role in providing in-depth insights and evidence-based solutions to achieve more inclusive, efficient, and sustainable development goals.
Towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, this nation wants to become a developed country with an inclusive and sustainable economy, the synergy between big data and official statistics will be the key in facing future challenges.
Hopefully, through this webinar, participants will not only get a perspective on big data and official statistics, but also be inspired to continue to strive to improve the quality of data and statistics in Indonesia.
