The Rural Price Survey is conducted in the middle of every month to monitor agricultural commodities, the development of agricultural commodity prices and find out the production factors used by farmers in terms of production.

This survey also aims to monitor the development of prices of goods and services consumed by households in rural areas in terms of consumption.

Monitoring the development of prices of goods and services in rural areas is used in calculating the exchange rate of farmers, in the form of an index of prices received by farmers and an index paid by farmers.
